Hajah Rusidah binti Haji Hidup was born on 16th June 1974 and graduated from the University of Staffordshire, United Kingdom, where she was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Internet Technology in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Brunei Darussalam in 2013.

Hajah Rusidah began her service with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in 2000 and has held various positions in the Public Sector. These include Assistant Training Officer at Civil Service Institute, Prime Minister’s Office (2000 – 2004), and promoted as Training Officer (2007 – 2016) and as Assistant Controller of Customs at the Royal Customs and Excise Department (2016 – present).

Currently, Hajah Rusidah serve as the heads of the Commercial Compliance Division, which encompasses units such as the Post-Clearance Audit Unit (UPCA) and the Exhibit Management Unit (UPEX).

She was awarded State Honour Long Service Medal (P.K.L) in 2024 and Excellence Service Medal (P.I.K.B) in 2017.
